Recovery efforts in Venezuela in the aftermath of the earthquake

URGENT: DEC VENEZUELA EARTHQUAKE APPEAL

Two devastating earthquakes means children are fighting for survival.

Children in Venezuela urgently need your help

Two powerful earthquakes struck Venezuela on Wednesday, 24 June. Tragically, over 3,000 people, including children, have lost their lives, and thousands more are still unaccounted for.

While the world's attention moves on, children and families left struggling to survive still urgently need help. Heavy rainfall is worsening conditions for those sheltering in tents, damaged buildings and temporary settlements. Many are still without access to clean water, food or healthcare. This is the worst seismic disaster the country has endured in over a century.

As a member of the DEC (Disasters Emergency Committee), our local teams and partners are already there, delivering food, clean water, safe sanitation, and protection to children and families caught in the devastation. But every second counts for children with no food, no shelter, desperately waiting for help to arrive.

Please donate today to help get critical life-saving support to children and families in Venezuela.

How your donation helps

Imagine being a child as the ground shook and buildings collapsed last Wednesday evening. That was the frightening reality for children across Venezuela. When the shaking stopped, homes were destroyed or left badly damaged, forcing families to sleep out on the streets.

We have been working in Venezuela since 2019. Our teams are already responding, reaching almost 10,000 people with emergency food, hygiene supplies and other essential aid within the first ten days.

But we can't reach everyone without your support.

Children urgently need shelter, food and clean water. And someone to tell them it’s going to be ok. Your donation will put emergency supplies into the hands of families who’ve lost everything. It reaches children sleeping outside, too afraid to go home. And it means our teams can keep going further, faster, to get help to those who need it.

Your donation today will help provide emergency food, clean water, safe shelter, and vital support for children's wellbeing as they face the trauma of what's happened.

Please give what you can today.
